Harvest for Hope Cancer Ministry

In 2010, Illya Chavis Lindsey and Harvest Church created the Harvest for Hope Cancer Ministry. Illya Chavis Lindsey was a dedicated member of Harvest Church who battled Stage Four breast cancer for seven years until her passing on May 29, 2016.

PURPOSE:

MISSION:

To reflect Christ's love through the provision of spiritual support to those who have been affected by the dreadful disease of cancer. We aim to support the needs not only of those who are battling cancer but also to their immediate family members.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Offer and provide prayer.
  • Be attentive, having not only a "hearing" ear but also a "listening" ear.
  • Provide financial support for basic necessities.

NOTABLE EVENTS:

Harvest for Hope Cancer Ministry hosts an annual bike run fundrasing event in honor of the ministry's co-founder, Illya Chavis Lindsey - The Illya Chavis Lindsey Harvest for Hope Cancer Ministry Annual Bike Run. All proceeds go directly to the financial support of those who are in need of basic necessities.

Harvest for Hope Cancer Ministry, in association with Harvest Church, has seeded more than $10,000 into the lives of cancer-affected patients of our church and the community.
