Food Bank & Benevolence Ministry

Food Bank & Benevolence Ministry

Ministry Vision:

The Vision for the HC Food Bank and Benevolence Ministry is to provide spiritual, monetary and nutritional support to disadvantaged individuals while aiding them with their hardship.

Ministry Mission:

The mission of the Harvest Church Food Bank/Benevolence Ministry is to lessen hunger and poverty by collecting and distributing food donations, supplies, and financial/spiritual support without cost to those in need. - Isaiah 58:10

Statistically, in southeast NC one in six people are facing hunger. One in four of these are children. God has commissioned us His followers to open our hands to the poor and to reach out our hands to the needy. The HC Food Bank/Benevolence Ministry allows us to do just this. The HC Food Bank and Benevolence Ministry is a self-supporting ministry. Monetary and food donations are received by various individuals and groups in and outside the fellowship. Harvest Church partners with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Southeast North Carolina.

To make a donation to this ministry or to request support please contact the Food Bank Ministry Coordinator Charlie Hammonds or the Benevolence Coordinator Doreen Dial by leaving a voicemail message for either at 910-422-9009.
